I just wanted to
say thank you for doing in 6 months what my
former attorney couldn't do in 12 years! I was
so surprised to receive a check so soon after
all the filing. You are all "on the ball" and I

Nothing financially
will make up for the loss of time and ability to
work full time in my profession, but that check

that it's unethical and fraudulent to

Dear Mr. Frailich: Thank you very much for your kind letter. It is heartwarming to have a colleague in the legal profession spend the time to write such a compassionate letter. You are certainly providing a valuable service to those women who have developed symptoms following the implants. Your explanation of the rigidity of the Class Action Regulations was helpful. You are certainly correct in that in my career I have tried to provide patient care on the basis of the patient's well being and fairness and not on their ability to pay. That is why it hurts to find Janet's claim rejected on a technicality. It is sad that the legal system tends to move in that direction. I can remember the strange legal battle in the USA 2000 election results, with some individuals in Florida having trouble understanding the ballot and voting for the wrong person, with the court just saying "too bad". The word "justice" should mean a just decision as that is the meaning of the word, not just a rigid interpretation of the wording of a law which may not have been what the lawmakers intended in the first place. The SFDCT did not explain with any sensitivity why they wouldn't accept the best proof we could provide them. I asked for an appeal and got a one liner rejecting it. You mentioned the court appeal but I can imagine that will cost me more grief and expense and if the same rigidity applies to that level of the legal system, then its likely hopeless. It is strange that a country like yours which was founded on the principal of equality, fairness and justice for the settlers on the Mayflower has now got so entangled in the wording of laws that justice seems to have slipped through the cracks. I think you are a man that I'd like to meet. We will try the Appeal route you suggested and greatly appreciate your kindness in following up on my letter. could so easily take advantage of
clients that can barely fend for
themselves!) Of course this doesn't
guarantee the outcome of your cases, but
at least you and your staff give it your
best shot, which is all any of us can do

Dear Stephen, I know you must be receiving a lot of letters from women thanking you for what you have done for them by sticking with them for all these years until you finally were able to get them their settlements. I also want to thank you, but I want to tell you that I have unfortunately had to deal with many lawyers in my lifetime, and I have never, ever met a lawyer like you before.
Although I am really happy and amazed that I received any money after all these years, the money wasn’t the only thing I wanted. I wanted someone to say they were sorry and wrong for selling me a product they knew was not safe and would not last a lifetime as I was told by my doctor. I felt like no one cared that all these women like myself who received breast implants were being poisoned, and the FDA did nothing until it was too late, and now the FDA is allowing silicone implants back on the market. Go figure. I never received this apology, but I got something that was just as good, YOU.
There is no question that you are a natural born fighter, but what is different is that you are fighting because you really believe in what you are fighting for and you really know the difference between what is right and what is wrong, unlike most lawyers. I had heard from other people how you got involved in the problems with the MDL-926 Claims Office and you got a federal judge involved to hear your complaints, and because of this, changes were made at the Claims Office which helped all the claimants.
You also got involved in 2004 by having women contribute money, when no one else would, to the lawyer who was holding up the Dow Class Action, so he would drop his appeal. Because the money was raised, the Dow Class Action started in 2004 instead of 2005 or 2006. You sent us letters throughout the years complaining about the list of doctors whose reports were not accepted by the Claims Board, and how they would not publish this list. I understand that now the Claims Board will tell you if a doctor is on this list.
People don’t do things like this unless they have passion in their heart, and are willing to fight for something they believe in. This is why you are so different and I felt so lucky to have you as my lawyer. It seems like there is no one else who is fighting for us women who have been taken advantage of and lied to. You were put on this earth for a reason, and that was to protect us women from the greed and deceptive behavior of Dow Corning, who hoped that women such as myself, would simply get old and tired of waiting and simply disappear. Please don’t let them get away with this. You are our hero. God Bless you."

I received my settlement check from SFDCT from
your office today. I cannot begin to tell you
how glad I was to see that check in the mail
today! As you have said to me on numerous
occasions, the money will not give me back my
good health, but it does finally provide me with
some closure after 14 years, which is when I
took my case to my previous attorney, who did
nothing for me. The feeling of relief I feel is
worth so much more than the money. In the last 3

"Stephen, As the work
day winds down once again, I found myself thinking
of you and the wonderful and hard work you have done
in my behalf. After spending nearly ten years
"thinking" I had been qualified and would receive a
settlement, I was shocked beyond belief to hear from
my "lawyer" that I did not qualify and would receive
nothing!
It was only through
general net surfing that I was fortunate enough to

"Dear Mr. Frailich,
I just had to send you
this letter to tell you how I feel. I am crying
while I am writing this letter. For the last 12
years I have been going through a living hell. After
being lied to by my doctor that my implants were
safe and would last a lifetime, my health started to
seriously decline. No one believed my problems were
related to my implants. All the doctors I saw
basically told me there was nothing wrong with me,
but I knew different. I knew my body, and my body
was being poisoned by these implants. The doctor who
put in the implants would not help me at all, and
has now retired and says he does not remember me. My
husband left me with my kids and a ton of bills, and
I am struggling each day to make ends meet.
The lawyer that I hired
from the begining made me promises the day I hired
him. That was the first and only time I have seen
him. His staff was rude on the phone and made me
feel like a pest, when all I wanted to know was what
was going on with my case. God forbid this lawyer
would ever have the decency to get on the phone to
talk to me.
When I heard about you
from a friend of mine, I did not want to start all
over again with someone new I did not know. When I
spoke to you on the phone (first time I have been

Since that time, your

I received the letter from the claims board saying I
was going to be paid, I was in shock that my
case was finally going to be settled. I am still in
shock now that I have received the money. I can
